graceland's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I must be getting soft You know what kills me about CSI: NY? It's not that there's no police team as collectively young, fit and handsome as the one on TV. It's not that the tests and time intensive studies and research as shown on TV can aren't budgeted for in real life. It's the work space. COME ON! This isn't Vegas or Miami. No NYC city office, let alone police, has the kind of work space nor equipment shown on TV. A conference-room sized ultraviolet/blacklight table to look for blood/DNA? Ha! A lab with new tech like that? I don't even think Ray Kelly's awesome force has that - although I hope they do. Privately or publicly funded, they deserve it. Sometimes it's frustrating to watch the crime shows and think, this tech is largely available but usually ends up in the wrong hands due to lack of funding. It's weird how things are. 12:58 a.m. - 2006-10-20 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
