graceland's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe in a thing called love I heart my camera phone. I take photos of myself and e-mail them to my work to illustrate me freaking out because I am running late. I take photos of me pulling my hair out at my desk and send them to the people working in the office next to me. I'm wondering if I can bill this back to my company? Tonight I went to a movie and afterward took photos of me and my friend in the bathroom making kissy faces at the camera. There's an entire gallery of myself in my phone. It's excessive. I love it. My Dad says it's okay as long as I don't get into phone pornography which started the wheels turning. I bet there's a whole niche movement of phone pornography. I hope someone sends some to me. I love porn. Back to the movie. I saw "The Prince and Me" because I love a teen movie. I love all teen movies. At the end of the movie, my friend was irritated at the ending. "Who waits" for someone, she wondered. "People wait for each other," I said. "When it's love, people wait." I believe that, even though my own life is contradictory to that. I've decided that's my most redeeming quality. I believe in true love. I believe it's out there. Something more than people who feel a love for another person, I believe there is gut clenching, heart hammering, unstoppable love. I believe that love can conquer giant obstacles. I believe in happy endings. I don't see that changing. Even as I learn more about interpersonal relationships and what someone else I know calls "opening doors" and intimacy, above all, I believe in happy endings. Love is tricky, you have to have two willing people who take the leap and work at maintaining this flame in this world that seems to constantly rain wet shit. But it's there for the taking.
